I set-up JIRA in a way that it can create new issues/comments from emails. My question is how can I set-up the email pre-processing as decscribed here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA043/Creating+Issues+and+Comments+from+Email
My target is to filter footer information especially the Signature picture is always added as attachment which is not very useful.

JEMH can do this with a regexp, you also possibly use the regexp bundled handler and set appropriate regexp details.
