I have been using JIRA db for a while to get the information . I am trying to see how effectively is the 'watch this issue' being used. So how do i get the number of issues each user is watching or top 10 watchers this week .Something like that.

I know the table jiraissue would give me the number of watchers but i want how many issues a particular user has watched.

You'd need to read through nodeassociation for watchers and a user id.  JIRA doesn't really track users adding or removing their watches, it's a flat "watched or not"
