Jira Core Setup hanging on CentOS VM

Hi,

I am trying to get JIRA core running on a Vultr CentOS VM, 1 core 2 GB

Using MySQL. 8.0

I have installed MySQL and worked through the setup on port 8080.

The database connects OK and the tables etc are created.

It gets to the point just before it asks for the license and just keeps repeating the same screen without any error message each time I press next.

Anyone else ever had this problem?

Jira does not yet offer support for MySQL 8.  Please see the Jira supported platforms for more details.   If you are using a Jira  7.9.x version, you will find that for the MySQL database, the only supported versions are 5.5.x, 5.6.x, and 5.7.x.

Did you already check the log files to see if you can find the cause for being stuck?
