We would like to do SSO for Jira and Confluence applications. Do we have any available documentation for this ? So that we can use this a reference.

You can setup SSO for Jira / Confluence server through Marketplace apps or Atlassian Crowd.

I work for Kantega SSO, one of the SSO marketplace vendors. With our app, you can setup two types of SSO:

  1. SAML SSO - Allow users to login to Jira / Confluence through an identity provider such as AzureAD, ADFS, Okta, Google GSuite and many more.
  2. Integrated Windows Authentication (Kerberos) - Give users on trusted networks a password-free access to Jira / Confluence.

If you want, you can combine difference login and SSO alternatives and redirect users based on their domain or user directory associations.

We also want to make life easier for system administrators and help them manage users and permissions. Our app allow you to provision user through:

  1. Synchronized cloud user directories - Manage JIRA accounts and security policies in one place. You will save time, increase security and gain greater control over your license costs. Cloud user provisioning is available for Azure AD, Google GSuite and Okta.
  2. Just-in-time provisioning - Create user records on the fly based on information provided by the identity providers through SAML authentications.

Do not hesitate to reach out to our support team is you need help configuring the optimal SSO setup for your environment.
