Jira-Confluence Application Link error

Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue with Application Links while trying to integrate Jira with Confluence. The following error appears in Confluence when attempting to establish the connection:

Error message: java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.lang.String cannot be cast to class java.util.Properties (java.lang.String and java.util.Properties are in module java.base of loader 'bootstrap')

This error occurred after attempting an upgrade from version 8.9.4 to 9.2.9. The upgrade was aborted, and we rolled back to version 8.9.4.

Also, in the Jira side -> application links show Confluence app as connected  and in Confluence side has the status with error.

Both directions Enable and Local authentication configured as OAuth (impersonation)

Could you please help me identify the cause of this error and provide guidance on how to resolve this integration issue?

• Current Jira version: 9.17.5

Haven't seen this one yet, nor have I managed to find any relevant info or questions related to it 👀

If you have valid licenses for Data Center products, have you reached out to Atlassian Support to see if they can assist with the issue?
