I recently imported a backup from a production cloud instance onto a "free" instance to play with some potential changes. I deleted a bunch of groups, disabled users, etc.
Today I tried to navigate to the project settings Automation page for existing projects, and also a newly created project. The page errors out "Something's gone wrong" The error message says Error: EURT01
I tried the automation page on each project (including a newly created one) and they all give the same error.
Help???
Hi Chris - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Try going to Settings > System > Automation rules
Thanks John for the quick response. Unfortunately I don't see an option from the Settings > System to access any Automation options at all. I'm fairly "noob" at the jira administration side so if it's hidden within another option, please guide me...
Reminder I am using the jira cloud "free" version.

Yes I am. And yes I can see Settings > System, but don't see anything related to automations or automation settings on that page. Maybe I'm missing it.

See if you can get there using this URL:

Thanks again John - I actually just tried that a few minutes ago with no luck.
I changed my plan to the standard free trial and that didn't resolve anything (not that I really expected it to). I'm going to re-import my production backup into another instance I previously created without tweaking projects/groups, etc. as I did with the current instance. I'll see if it works then...
I really appreciate your attempts to assist. I will advise after the import later (at least an hour based on the last import timing...)

Yes I'm using Jira cloud.
(Note the restore is still running so no updates yet)

Update - (And this may derail the current issue) but the import failed (as it did in the past) on user/group synchronization. The error below is what I got before and then I started disabling groups in the xml. I already did that with a bunch of users earlier before importing, but this is where I'm concerned I may have gone wrong the last time. Now I can't recall if I requested a full replace or a merge of users when I did this last import. I am going to re-attempt with a full replace on users and see how it goes. If that fails I'm going to disable groups in the xml.

So - still struggling with the import. In the meantime "magically" the automation option is now working. I didn't do anything. The error said that support had been notified. Perhaps they fixed something without notifying me... There was an automation setup in my production system which doesn't show up in the new instance, so I'm guessing there was some inconsistency and they maybe removed the offending automation...
Anyway I will consider this issue closed.
John - thanks for all your assistance!!!!

I am glad this started working for you. I hate that it was a frustrating process to get to that point. Always happy to help with what I can.
