After a recent update, the top search bar in Jira Cloud now searches across all Atlassian products (Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) by default. Previously, it searched Jira issues only, which was much faster and more relevant for daily work.
Current behavior: Typing in the top search bar returns results from Confluence pages, Bitbucket repos, and other products mixed in with Jira issues. This adds noise and slows down finding the right issue.
Expected behavior: The top search bar should either search Jira issues only (as it did before), or provide a user setting to choose the default search scope.
Impact: This significantly slows down workflows for users who primarily work in Jira and rely on quick issue search throughout the day.
Request: Please add an option to configure the default search scope, or allow reverting to the previous Jira-only search behavior.

yes.. consuming extra seconds on each search
and on reading "related searches" block (unrelated, actually)
I wonder if I can configure the behaviour,
may be I've missed the right place to set it
thank you

Actually, I'd say this bar is an improvement. You can filter by product, but it's especially helpful for organizations using multiple Atlassian products.
Before you must jumping from product to product and have Open tons of Tabs.
Everybody have a little other use case.

disagree: there is no way to quick filter over the current product (Jira)
opinionated: I had never needed to search across multiple products

I have to agree that the current behavior doesn't make sense. If I'm working in JIRA, it should default to searching JIRA and give me the option to search other Atlassian products. It shouldn't just decide to search across everything.
