Hi,
I am using the Jira Cloud slack app with enabled issue-previews inside a channel. It works fine when writing only the issue key but does not when using the full URL.
Should this work or not?
On https://support.atlassian.com/jira-core-cloud/docs/use-jira-cloud-for-slack/ there is no word on URLs but the bot itself states "Automatically show previews of Jira issues when issue keys or URLs are mentioned in this channel." for /jira issue-previews
Thanks in advance!
+1
just checked again still not working.
Could this be some configuration/permission issue? E.g. bot not allowed to add the preview to the message?
The general URL preview for other sites is shown.

Hello Philipp,
Mentioning a Jira issue URL should also trigger an issue preview in Slack. You'll notice in the screenshot below that the mentions add themselves in slightly different ways:
One thing that might be tripping the bot up with the URLs: they need to be in the format <site>/browse/<issuekey>. If you happen to be copying the URL while looking at the issue in Service Desk queue view, or from a JQL issue search, that might cause you some problems.
I hope that explains it a bit - please let me know if you're still not seeing the issue previews with the URLs in that format.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support

Works fine for issue keys, but pasting a URL does not trigger the preview. The format is correct.
