Jira Cloud Re-Index

Shaun Parker July 24, 2019

Hi.

One of our admin users has changed the key of a project in error and then reverted this back to the original key value.

I am now trying to create a new project using the key that was created in error but I am getting an error message ... "Project XXX uses this project Key". However, there is nothing at all using this project key.

Is there any way I can reclaim this key?

Thanks in advance.

Shaun

Hi @Shaun Parker ,

no, you can't use a project-key for a second time. If it was used once, it can never be used again. Even if the project key changed to another key in the meantime.
