Jira Active Directory Problem

We have configured JIRA to connect to our Active Directory. At first it worked smoothly and we were not experiencing any problem but after 3 weeks, the synchronization failed at random times. Have you guys experienced this type of problem? Is there something wrong with our configuration or is it the Active Directory that has a problem?

I had similar problem. Check if your AD is load balanced. Turned out that when I started to use internal IP on one of the load balanced AD servers, things starting working smoothly.
