Javascript error in JIRA Admin tab (IE8) since updating UPM

I've been getting this error since updating the Universal Plugin Manager; I should add this message only occurs when I'm in the Administration tab in JIRA:

Still nothing after all these months? I'm still seeing the exact same message, if there are ANY OPTIONS to fix this please let me know, it's highly disconcerting to be administering a site and not being sure what's happening because of this error.
