JQL status field auto complete shows status from all workflows

Hello,

we noticed that the jql search auto complete function for the field status is showing the user workflow status for al projects even if they are not permitted to view this project/workflow.

Is this a bug or the intended behaviour?

It has no way of knowing what projects you might want to use until you submit the jql. Even if it did, it w pulls have to parse each project for the workflows in use, then each of them to establish the possible status. Which could make it unusually slow.
