Good morning, I am teying to run a JQL that will filter all issues that were resolved afetr duedate
Hi @kaysaff.tal,
Unfortunately, Jira does not support this functionality out of the box. There is an issue open for this that you can watch or vote for: JRASERVER-20727
If you have scriptrunner in your instance, you can compare dates with a JQL query like this:
issueFunction in dateCompare("", "resolutionDate > dueDate")

@Walter Buggenhout It is the same for Next Gen projects as well? Do we still need an external application?

You can use JIRA Automation as a workaround to find issues resolved after their due dates.
Setup an automation rule that is triggered when an issue is resolved, and have it automatically add a label of your choosing (we use "resolved-after-due-date") to the issue if the resolution date is after the due date.
Then you can simply query new issues by label to find issues resolved after their due date. If you wanted to backfill your existing issues with the new label, then you could adjust the trigger condition as needed.
Here's an example screenshot of this automation rule using the "Advanced compare condition".
