Hello! We was already troubleshooting a lot. We really cannot explain what happens.

Short description: If the query for summary contains AM, there are no results found for it, but for any other keyword it does.
summary ~ AM -> no results
summary ~ AM something -> results with keyword something, also containing AM

Description:

We have got Tasks and Subtasks in our project with a summary like

  • "AM - some thing 1",
  • "AM - some thing 2" and also other Prefixes like
  • "MA - some thing" or
  • "ME - some thing".

Per Prefix there is another EPIC link.

Queries like summary ~ MA or summary ~ ME find every expected issue, but if I search for summary ~ AM then no issue is found. When I change the query to summary ~ "AM - some" (for the examples above) then it finds some issues containing "AM", but just when the keyword "some" is contained. Same problem for text attribute instead of summary.

Every other keyword which is contained in some summary is found.
It does not depend on small/upper case (combinations), basic or advanced JQL, list or detail view OR with or without quoting marks.

AM is not contained in the list of keywords for JQL. Could it be that the word "AM" influences the internal JQL ??

Thanks in advance!
