Hi all,
following scenario:
Jira receives workitems from another system/tool. This system/tool has other status-expressions than Jira. So these status names have to be translated into Jira terms, when the systems/Tools are synchronized.
I put up an event-based action (please see attachment for details); but it does not work.
Means that Jira does not change to the correct status.
But I do not see my mistake, nor are there error messages with the event-based action.
I am very curios how I can achieve it.
Automation is no option.
Thanks for your feedback.
Best regards
Anette Noll
Hi Anette,
Thank you for your question. I hope you're doing well.
The Event-based action will get triggered when the Jira Event is fired.
In your case, the Issue Updated event had to be fired so that the EBA could be triggered.
As you've mentioned, the work item gets updated from another system, can you confirm that the Issue Updated event was fired?
Do you have that entry in the History for this work item?
Thank you.
Regards,
Hector
Hi @Hector Florin ,
thank you for coming back to my problem.
Please see the history of the item where you can see that it was updated:
Best regards, Anette

Hi @Anette Noll ,
I hope you're doing well.
That seems like a problem; however, I'll need more information to troubleshoot it.
I think it'll be best if you file a support ticket with Appfire directly to review it directly as Cloud logs may need to be investigated to find out why the EBA did not get triggered after the issue was updated.

The team should be able to find out what happened to your EBA.
Thank you!
