JIRA table reformats automatically

My JIRA table in the description field reformats itself when i save my work. It often takes all of the columns and merges the content into one cell, then deletes cells and misaligns the whole table. Does anybody know a way around this bug?

We are experiencing the same problem. The table reformats itself, and it is not clear why. Did you find a solution, or reported a bug? I'm curious...
