JIRA Software tasks showing automatically in JWM as well.

My team uses both JIRA software (Project team) and JWM (business team).  My team has to search thru the project teams boards daily to make sure we are not missing tasks.  Is there any way we can set up the JIRA software so that it will update both the Jira board and our JWM board with new tasks?

Boards display issues based on Filters that select the issues.

For JWM you are not allowed to modify the filter. The filter will display only the issues from the JWM project itself.

When you say you are looking through the JSW boards to make sure you are not missing tasks, does that mean for some work in JSW there is work you need to do in JWM? As opposed to really needing to see every single JSW issue in your JWM project.

A few options you have:

1. If your JWM users have JSW licenses, then you can create a filter that retrieves issues from all the projects of interest, then create a board based on that filter. Then your team(s) can view that one board to get a consolidated view of issues across projects. (The functionality to create a board from a filter is part of the JSW product, so your JWM users will need JSW licenses in order to view the board. If they can already view the boards for JSW projects, then they already have the licenses they need.)

2. Set up Automation that will create a duplicate of the JSW issue into the JWM project, and use automation to keep those synchronized. Then you could see a replica of the JSW project within the JWM board. If only some of the JSW issues lead to the need for a JWM task, then there would need to be a way for those JSW issues to be identified (like a label) so that only those might be replicated into JWM.

There are probably other options, but those are the first two I can think of.
