Hello,
I have the following products:
JIRA Service Management , JIRA Software, Confluence and ATLAS
I have a STANDARD plan for the first one and Free for the others.
I want to understand the difference between these products and want to know how do I know that I'm creating the project on the STANDARD or Free plan?
and how to know team-managed project and company managed projects?
now I have a team-managed project, and want to create new one with the same workflow but I didn't find any way to do that.
so, if I create a company managed project, can I edit the workflow? then copy it for other projects?
Thank you Walter for your quick response.
But I would like to know if there is anyway to know the type of project (team or company managed) before creating it.
You can determine the type of project (team or company) during creation.
If you are creating a Service Management or Software project from the templates available, if it is possible to create either a Team Managed or a Company Managed project from that template then you will be asked to choose which you want. Your choice will be displayed on the final screen.
Not all templates are supported for creating Team Managed projects. If you are not given a choice, then most likely only Company Managed is supported.
However, for Work Management projects I have noticed that it will sometimes default to a Team Managed project without explicitly showing you a screen to choose which you want. I chose the Blank Work Management template here. I did not get a screen to choose between Team and Company Managed. Notice, though, the Show More link.
If I click on the Show More link then I see that the system selected Team Managed for me. But I do have the option to change it to Company Managed before completing the creation.

Hi @hala,
Great questions! It would be best to do some reading up before creating too much stuff now and having to adjust a lot later on in your journey.
To give you a few pointers:
When comparing team managed and company managed projects, as a rule of thumb assume that it is best to use company managed projects if you want to share configuration across multiple projects / teams or when you want to collaborate and report on work happening across multiple projects. Team managed projects are easier to configure, but they are actually information and configuration silos, not conceived for cross-team or cross-project collaboration.
This support article may be a good starting point to learn more about the differences between team and company managed projects.
Hope this helps!
