JIRA PLan Ranking

I have 1 project, from which i have 2 JIRA plans. In Plan 1 i have all issues in the project which is used for overall backlog grooming ranking, and in Plan 2 i only have issues with a certain fix version which needs to be ranked in order within that.

Changes in ranking in Plan 1 currently impacts Plan 2. Why and is there a way to stop this?

Ranking is a global thing (it has to be, that's what it is for).  You do not rank things differently just because they appear in different plans.

Jira Plan means "Roadmaps". if yes. i don't have much knowledge on those.

If Jira Plan means "Boards" . the following will be applied.

Jira issue "Ranking" is Global.

Jira issue "ordering" is based on Jira Field value.

As Both sharing the one backlog. as 1 is for complete backlog and second is for particular Fix version.
