I want to simply paste an image or upload it, and it should have a thumbnail preview that can be clicked to show in full size. How can I do that in Jira?

Something similar to discourse.

Inserting is showing the image as-is. It's very confusing to read when the image height is large.

I need to show the screenshots as thumbnails in the text.

How can I do this?

Is it possible to link the image from the files attached to the issue?

Hello @fouad ,

Welcome to the Community!

The reported behavior is known and it is tracked on our side as:

As mentioned in the description, a way to workaround this issue is to:

  1. Edit the comment using the old issue view (you can do this by appending ?oldIssueView=true to the url)
  2. Modify the wiki markup from !image_file_name|width=xxx.height=yyy! to !image_file_name|thumbnail!  (see the screenshots in the bug ticket for details)

Another workaround is to just disable the new issue view from the user's personal settings.

Dario
