HI

We have uploaded a Microsoft Excel document in the JIRA Pages. And when we edit and try to save the document in the MS Excel (Excel from Remote desktop) it creates a local copy of the file, rather than saving the changes in the actual copy in JIRA. We have verified the JIRA plugin is installed already on the machines. Is there any fix for this issue ? Thank you.

Correct.  This is normal and expected behavior.  Jira isn't intended to be a document management system, so it can't natively do what you are asking for. The Documents for Jira App may help solve the problem for you.

Thank you Dave . Interestingly this excel document which was uploaded in atlassian -> Space->pages can be edited and saved many times if you launch first time from a remote desktop server after installing the JIRA plugin. But when we logout and log back again in the same server and try to save the document it will say "wwx.xlsx is a read-only  . To save a copy, click ok then give the workbook a new name in the save as dialog box. "

NB:- what we have is a cloud atlassian setup and couldn't find a Documents for Jira App for Cloud. :(
