JIRA Automation fails: Different behaviors with the same conditions

Hi everybody,

I set up an easy automation: WHEN task is created THEN copy our own defined fields from Epic.

However, this automation runs correctly for the first time and fails for the second time. I simulate the exact same scenario, though.

Setup of automation:

It almost seems like some bug in sense of race condition. Any idea how to proceed or fix it pls?

I noticed that the Epic is different for each. Is there something different about those Epics? Are you using any kind of issue level security? Are those fields populated on both Epic?

Sorry, yes I overlooked that. Are you using the issue level security?

Hey, based on this screenshot, I assume we are using no level of security. Or should I search somewhere else?

No, you would look under Settings > Issues > Issue Security Schemes

I am sorry for the late reply, I needed to chase the org admin. However, we have no Issue Security Scheme set up.

I would go ahead and open a support ticket with Atlassian.
