Hi
I have question around how to best troubleshoot an anomaly i have with my JIRA 5.x installation.
Background information: In the last month, a number of new JIRA projects / issues types / workflows have been created. When testing today, I've only just noticed the following text was being displayed underneath the "Issue Type" drop down during new issue creation.
"Some issue types are unavailable due to incompatible field configuration and/or workflow associations."
I'm assuming either the new issue types / workflow i have created has created some internal issues (unless maybe this turned up after the upgrade?). Anyway, I digress, It doesn't seem to matter which JIRA project / workflow combination is used - the message persists - even against projects that do not use the new workflows / issue types.
So, basically I'm looking for advice on how to best troubleshoot this - is there a "best practice" approach to follow, to find the culprit piece of configuration. a quick glance and everything seems to be correct. It may even help me to understand the problem if someone can elaborate on what triggers the display of the message.
Anyway, I hope the above makes sense. Happy to elaborate further as/where needed.
Thanks
Gavin.
Thanx---that solved my problem with sub-tasks!
