Dear Communitiy,

when I create a new Kanban Project I am able to create an initial issue. However, I am unable to create further issues on the board since the "+ create", which is usually visible at the bottom of the board, is missing. This the case for any Kanban project I create. For other projects everything is working fine. Thanks for your help.

Hello Michael,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The option you mentioned (+ create) appears in the Backlog view of any board.

The fact is, Kanban boards are not initially configured with a backlog view like Scrum boards.

That been said, you can activate the backlog view by dragging and dropping a status to the backlog column (at the left of the common columns) on Board settings > Columns.

Additionally, you can also use the + button in the left menu of your JIRA screen to create new issues on in your board without needing the backlog view.

Let me know if that's the feature you are looking for.
