The issue return back to backlog when refresh the page after move it to sprint.
It's same for drag&drop and use the MOVE TO menu.

Just check whether you have schedule permission and it really moved to sprint when you dragged drop.
Usually you will get an error like 'Schedule permission not there' and the issue would move back to backlog.
