Issues automatically move out of backlog when created

Hi,

I have a Kanban Board set up with a backlog (using Jira Cloud). But when I create a new issue within the Backlog, it immediately jumps to my Kanband Board, rather than sits within the backlog list. How do I stop this happening? 


Update: It won't let me delete this post, but there was an issue with the workflow that caused this to happen. Changed the workflow and no longer happens.

Hi Fiona,

Usually that behavior appears when there are some misconfigurations of the first column of your board.

You can check them in the the right part of your board screen (the three-dots icon) and click on Board settings.
