Issue workflow scheme name won't update after change

Martin Janeček February 27, 2023

I created a new issue workflow scheme.

It automatically got named after the project in which I was making the "switch" to a new workflow.

Now, when the workflow is created and I try to change it's title/name, the change does not take effect. Even though the edit name form element is remembering the new name. Other parts of Jira do not use it.

Workflow summary is still reflecting it by the old name and other "places" like Project settings etc. too.

Can anyone give me a hint what the problem could be?

Thank you

Hi Martin, have you made sure that you have published the changes and that there is no question waiting around for you to publish or discard it? (Like image below)Screenshot 2023-02-27 at 12.35.37.png

I'm not sure if this applies to the Issue workflow scheme changes, but it might be good to double check just in case.

Hello,

yes I published the changes multiple times already (I did a few more rounds of editing the new steps and transition. Adding properties, post-process and triggers).

Jira had plently of chances to update the name of the scheme.

Could it be not working because I have active projects using the workflow scheme while doing changes to it? I didn't exactly want to try switching forward and back. And therefore lose the steps/statuses that have no equivalent in the other scheme.
