Issue when registering time sheet

HI all!

I'm experiencing a problem when a user is registering hours in a specific task.

If I need to register more than 1 day, then all the hours are automatically assigned to the start date, which is not realistic, so I must assign the time day by day.

As an example, if i want to assign 40 hours (from monday 9th of August to friday 13th of August, considering 8 hours/day) to the same task, then I submit 40 hours with starting date monday, but all 40 hours are assigned to Monday.

When I chek the timesheets, or by apps like "Worklogs", the rest of the week is empty.

Do you have any suggestion? May I change any setting somewhere?

This sounds like your people are using very simple logging and understanding that they should be logging by day rather than week.

For a week's work for me, I log 8 hours per working day.  In my case, I'm usually jumping around across many things, but sometimes, I do a full week of project work.  So, that should be 40 hours a week, but because my timesheet is daily, I log 8 hours per day - five worklogs which are identical barring their date.

If you want to assign 8 hours a day for a week, you need to be logging daily.

(Note that I have a nice cheat for this - we use Tempo timesheets, where you can tick a box for "period", giving it a start and end date, and I give it "8 hours, stuff for client, start monday, end friday" and it creates 5 separate logs for me)
