Issue type "Fehler" not found

Heike Wendt-Hermainski June 28, 2023

We are using the German version of JIRA. The issue type "Bug" is named "Fehler" in the german version. When you create filters and filter for the issue type "Fehler", nothing is found. You have to filter for "bug". But users don't know that. How is it possible to filter for "Fehler" instead of "Bug"?

Example:
project = HD AND issuetype = Fehler
nothing ist found

project = HD AND issuetype = bug
all issues are found

Hi @Heike Wendt-Hermainski ,

This is a know limitation https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-39215

I guess using Basic search can help (or use issue type ID which is unique and should be affected by name change)

Thank you Mirek.

Atlassian has grouped the ticket under "Server". However, we use Data Center. Is this not fixed there either?

Hi @Heike Wendt-Hermainski

Actually everything is under one project Server and Data Center so it affect both. If you look at label "affects-server" that it was added few years ago.

Hi Mirek,

Then I guess we'll just have to live with it.

Thank you very much and have a good day!
