Issue: "Original Estimate" field missing for most issue types in JIRA

I'm using a Company-managed Scrum project in JIRA and want to use the "Original Estimate" field for all issue types. However, I can only see and use this field for Bug issues.

What I’ve checked so far:

• Time tracking is enabled in project settings.
• The field is not hidden in the Field Configuration.
• In Custom Fields, the "Original Estimate" field is not present.

How can I make "Original Estimate" available for all issue types?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Original Estimate is a system field so it would not show in the Custom Fields list.

You need to add the field to the screens used by the various issue types where you want to use it.

Screens are grouped into Screen Schemes. Screen Schemes are associated to Issue Types in Issue Type Screen Schemes.

You will need to look at the project settings to find the Issue Type Screen Scheme associated to the project, identify the Screen Schemes associated to the issue types you want to affect, and the identify the screens in those Schemes that you'll need to modify.

Note that Screens, Screen Schemes, and Issue Type Screen Schemes can be shared between Company Managed projects, so consider that the changes you make might affect other projects.
