Issue not resolved despite having a resolution

John Salter January 22, 2019

Basically the title: I have the resolution field populated with a post function, and it properly detects that and sets the resolution date. However, the strike-through doesn't happen and when I go to close the sprint, it says I can't because I have open (unresolved) sub-tasks. What gives?

when the resolution field is shown on the issue details does it have a value? You say it sets the date, but don't mention the value.

yes there is a value set in the resolution field (Done)

I may have misunderstood your question. Does the sub-task still show unresolved (no value in resolution) or the main task.

If the main task, If there is a value in the resolution then there should be a strike-through unless you have something setup to not allow the issue to close if a sub-task is unresolved.

the sub task has a value in resolution and has no strike-through

I would open a ticket with Atlassian. Any value should trigger the strike-through.
