Issue filter search synthax help

Hello, I am quite new to JIRA and I am creating a dashboard with Search result gadget.

Instead of "PROD DATE" = 2020-03-24 I would like to use a date from another entity because that date might change in the future but it will always be changed it the other entity as well (the entity is Project and having "start release" field which I would like to use) Is there any way how to do it?

If you are asking whether you can use the “start release” date within a query/gadget the answer is no. That field is not available. That said you could create a new custom field, set it as appropriate and the use it in your queries and gadget.
