Hi All,

I am trying to import some issues to JIRA. After validating the data I am down to just 1 error and I can't figure out what is causing it:

"Issue can't be created due to the error/s [ Specify a valid URL for the Custom Field ]"

I have already exported all data the check existing fields and there is no field containing URLs

Could this be a hidden field I am not seeing or user rights for my account? Any suggestions how I can trouble shoot this?

/Lasse

Hello @Lasse Bystrup

It's possible that the custom field with the URL requirement is not visible in the UI or is hidden in some way or other. You can try checking the custom field configuration to see if there is a field with the URL requirement, and if so, check the field context to ensure it's applicable to the project you're importing to.

You can also try creating a test issue with the same field values to see if it produces the same error, which may help narrow down the issue.

Thanks

Asha

Hi @Lasse Bystrup,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

As a Jira Admin, you should be able to check mandatory fields in the related field configuration scheme associated to your project. Probably there is a mandatory field that is not on the create screen.

Moreover, you can check this through "Find your field"/"Show fields" menu :

Hope this helps,
