Hello,

I am trying to Bulk Create Jira Tickets/Issues
Generated a CSV with relevant fields/fields of interest (combination of Jira Fields + Custom Fields) I am only not mapping a few of the custom fields
The only error that keeps popping as of now is "user doesnt exist"
My company account has my full name and email address. I tried to include Assignee and Reporter fields in my CSV and entered my name in both (tried various combinations of just full name, just email address, entering Reporter but not Assignee etc) Nothing seems to be working

I have tried excluding the field all together and that didnt work either

Hi @Nitya Mittal

I've found User ID works better in CSV uploads.

You can find IDs a few ways; 3 common methods are...

  • Using search - select a user and their ID replaces the name
  • From the Teams menu, search for a user and their user ID is the alphanumeric phrase after "/people/"
  • Admin settings - in user management

^ Use these in user picker fields and it should work fine.

According to the examples in this document

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/import-data-from-a-csv-file/

...it seems like the email address that you use to login to Atlassian Cloud and into that Jira product specifically should work.

I tested that by using my own login/email to set the Assignee field as part of the import for issues in my own Jira Cloud instance and it worked.
