Issue Links do not appear in jira query results

pflaherty April 21, 2020

Hi,

I am creating a Jira query and including the Linked Issues as a column in the results. Even though there are links on some of the issues in the result list, this Linked Issues column (displays as "Links") is blank. I have read some other posts that explain with Jira 8.0 there is an IssueTypeLink option.  I do not see this and I am using Jira 8.7.1.

What can I do to get the links to appear in the result list?  These are links to confluence pages, other urls (which contain mockups), and "Issues in Epic" which are stories.

Thanks,

Pam

Hello @pflaherty

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Per your description, I understand you need to include external and Confluence links in the "link" column of your issue navigator page. Is that correct?

Unfortunately, the link column only displays internal issue links, however, we understand how useful this feature would be and created the following feature request to also include external and Confluence links in that same column or create a different field to map it:

Show external links in filter field "Linked Issues" or create new field "external links"

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround, you can create another custom field and manually add the external and confluence links to it, selecting its column in the Issue navigator page.

Let us know if you have any questions.
