I migrated a Server hosted Jira project to the Cloud recently. The Server version of Jira had a toggle under the Description field to flip between HTML and Text. I used Text very often as it gave me better control of the formatting on that version.
After migrating, I see the Description field no longer has the toggle. That's fine, the HTML editor is much better now. My problem is that when I use the Create button at the top to create a new ticket, the editor appears with the HTML controls, but the field is still in Text mode.
Once I create the ticket, I can click into the field and get the "real" HTML editor.
I feel like this is a field setting, but all the screens show the Description field is using the Wiki editor. More likely, it's a personal setting that carried over, but I can't find a way to change it. Any ideas would be appreciated.
