In the documentation for boards it states:
"A board displays issues from one or more projects, giving you a flexible way of viewing, managing, and reporting on work in progress."
yet on the same page:
"In Jira Software, a board must belong to either a project, or a person – this is known as the board's location."
These 2 statements seem to be in conflict. So is this "location" merely a UX "feature"?
Yes, it is just a UX "feature". If you create a board in Project A, you can still configure it to display issues from Project A, B and C if you want.
