Iam unable to see create project option in jira..Anyone can help.. where can I get that option. Give step by step details.

Quite recently, Atlassian has renamed the Projects into Spaces.

You can find the "create new space" button here:

Spaces are as you may probably already know of 2 types: Company managed and Team managed. For company managed spaces, you need to be a product admin. On the other hand, for team managed spaces, there is a global permission and a product admin can assign various groups to it.

If you cannot see the "+" sign, then it means that you are neither a product admin, nor you are part of any groups having the "create team managed spaces" permission

Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and find the "Create Project" option:

• Click on "Projects" to view the list of existing projects.
• In the "Projects" section, you should see a "Create Project" button or a similar option.
• Click on "Create Project" to start the project creation wizard.
• Choose the type of project you want to create (e.g., Software, Business, Service Management) based on your needs.

  • Enter the required details such as the project name, key, and template.

  • Configure any additional settings as needed.

  • Click "Create" to complete the project creation process.

You can also create space by accessing the spaces list and find the button on top of the spaces page as well
