Is there any Admin control between Claude and Jira when integrated with connector?

I see there is a connector (Atlassian Rovo) in Claude that can fetch data  and update in Jira. This integration or connection via connector can be done by users individually with out admin privileges. It has few restrictions that can be done on user level. Is there any such restrictions that can handled by Admins between Claude and Jira? Rovo connector 1.png

Hi @Mahanth Prudhvi P ,

Yes, if you're looking for admin-level controls over how Claude interacts with Jira, you can consider AI Governance Gateway for Jira.

It allows Jira admins to define group-based policies to control Claude access, including:

  • Which Jira projects Claude can access

  • Which Jira operations are allowed or restricted, such as fetch, create, update, delete, and comment

  • Which user groups the policies apply to

  • Monitoring and auditing of AI-driven activities

This provides administrators with better governance and more granular control over Claude's interactions with Jira, rather than relying only on individual user-level configurations.

For a demo or to understand how it can fit your use case, feel free to reach out to mahima@xecurify.com.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Mahima

Hi @Mahanth Prudhvi P ,

I believe you can setup in Atlassian, that Claude integration is not allowed at all (by disabling Atlassian supported domains).

Hi @Hana Kučerová

Thank you for your response. I am looking for granular control like, I want only certain group of users to use the connector and restrict the other users from using the connector or integrating Claude-jira. And from the users who are using the connector I want to allow them to only read access but restrict to Write access from Claude to Jira.

Hi @Mahanth Prudhvi P ,

thank you for the detailed explanation. I'm afraid there's no such functionality.
