Is there a way to sort for a specific issue type

Currently, I have a board set to order by rank asc. This is fine, but I want one specific issue type (which is a subtask) to always float to the top of the column. Is there a way to do this? All I can think of is to add a new custom field to that issue type with a default value of 1 and then sort by that followed by rank. Thoughts?

Hi Lesley,

Your suspicions are correct - you can't just sort by the one value. We have added a custom field called priority number and sort on that sometimes. The problem is that once you sort on a field and not by Rank, you will no longer be able to drag cards up and down to reorder them.
