I like that we can now search automations by action, and this goes a long way to being able to manage the environment better. Along these same lines I would like to be able to search for say automations which include a field in a condition (JQL, if block, etc) or if the automation sets the value of a field.
This could definitely extend beyond fields say form in form submission, form fields in conditions etc. At a high level I am looking for a way to manage an existing customized environment and more efficiently and comprehensively identify potential impact if say we change/remove a field, form, asset object type, etc. With the presumption that there could be gaps in the documentation generated while customizing said environment.
Hi cya-jiraappadmin-3@jackson.com,

Your only option right now would be to export your rules and then search the generated JSON file for what you are looking for. There is an API for automations, but it does not allow you to search for components within a rule.
Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I have resorted to that approach. Guess I should have clarified that. Unfortunately exporting a large-ish JSON file and searching it, is cumbersome, and not ideal for some of the lesser experienced people who might be pulled into some of the work.
Is there by any chance an enhancement that we could at least vote up?
