Hi,
As a Jira Administrator, I misinterpreted one email from my clients and I mistakenly reset the clients' Jira passwords through "Administration--> User management" to the default one set by my corporation.
However, this operation is totally unnecessary which will burden and frustrate my clients a bit to do password resetting through emails by themselves.
I wonder if there is a way I could revert my last operation of "setting their password" through "User management". I would be very grateful if any one could share some advice for me. Thanks in advance!
Hi @Robert Han,
Unfortunately, natively you will not be able to revert the password changes. Though we understand that your client(s) will get frustrated, there is no option in the "User management".
If you have the backup of JIRA instance then you can restore that version but you will lose all the data, that has been updated since then. Do you have the database backup of the JIRA instance?
There is nothing wrong if you can just update your client to reset the password.
Thanks,
Amith Mathur
