I am interested to have a bi-directional communication between Jira (cloud) and Gainsight that every time I update a project/task in Gainsight which was pushed from Jira, it will also update in Jira.
Use Case:
If I send an email from Gainsight or log something to the timeline, or complete a task on a CTA that it will then sync with and complete the “task” in Jira as well or visa versa.
Thank you
@Ben B Welcome to the Atlassian community
Have you looked at the integration that Gainsight provides to Jira - https://www.gainsight.com/integration/jira/ Looks like they are using the Jira API.
Thank you Brant. What you have pointed me shows one directional traffic from Jira to Gainsight and not back.
"from Jira objects (Incidents and Projects) into Gainsight"
I wonder if there is any tool/app that can allow a reverse traffic back into the Jira from Gainsight.

@Ben B You could always use something like Zapier https://zapier.com/apps/jira-software-server/integrations/gainsight to connect both applications through their APIs. Depending on the API offerings from Gainsight you could use automation on the Jira side to send responses back to Gainsight via their API https://confluence.atlassian.com/automationkb/how-to-extend-automation-for-jira-with-rest-api-calls-1021217952.html

@Ben B Did you look at Zapier as a solution? it should be able to allow triggers to happen both ways.
