I created a Jira Plans Timeline view that pulls in work from across many projects which is required to deliver to the overall project objective. Since issues from many projects are pulled in, there are many releases showing up at the top of the timeline view making it look cluttered with dots. There are too many cluttered dots for the release dots to provide helpful guidance to teams using the plan. Is there a way to filter it so that only cross project releases show up as dots on the timeline view in jira plans?
Not sure if this can be fixed in timeline view, but for tracking the "overall project" towards its objectives, you could use the Release Burndown Burnup Chart dashboard gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.
All you have to do is to configure the gadget with a filter that returns the issues representing the overall release scope and set the project timeline.
Hope this helps.
