Is there a way to number sub-tasks so that they relate back to the issue they support?

Hi Team,

Just looking for the answer on the subtask number creation. If there is a way to have the subtasks generate a sub number to the project e.g. - project is VISD-10 and has several subtasks - could they be VISD -10.1, VISD - 10.2, and VISD -10.3 etc ?

Hello, no this is not supported. Sub-tasks are allocated an issue key just like any other issue type which comes from the database. They do have an identifier though. If you look into an issue with sub-tasks you will find a column where the sub-tasks are numbered.
