Is there a way to get the edit button into the new view of JIRA?

In the old view of JIRA there was an edit button that allowed you to edit all fields at once instead of going from field to field. That button was removed in the new view of JIRA. Is there a way to bring that button back into the new view, or has it been rid of?

No there is no way to add it and to be honest you shouldn’t need it since now all editing is done right in the current screen. There’s no need for a modal pop-up to edit field that already are being displayed in the detailed issue view.
