Is there a way to execute a JQL query directly from the quick search box?

Hi

I've used Jira for many years and I find the JQL searching an extremely useful feature. However I'm frustrated that I can't execute a JQL query directly from any page. I either have to execute a search I don't actually want to do in the Quick Search box to get to the advanced search box OR I have to click "Issues" then "search for issues" to get to that page.

I know it seems a minor thing, but when you use Jira day-in, day-out carrying out all those extra searches before the search you actually want to do takes a toll...

So is there some way that you can escape a full JQL query in the quick search box to execute it directly?

Thanks!

Hi Richard,

I'm glad to hear that you enjoy using the JQL feature.

However, do to the fact that it's a "Advanced Feature", like it eve says in the page, that it's a advanced search, you can search in any place.

I'm sorry for the impact this causes in your work.
