I would like to create a more informative backlog with the setup:
Product <- Feature/ Epic <- Story <- (Sub)Task
When a task is finished I would like to see the impact on all levels (eg with status bars). The background is that my stakeholders want to get a better grasp of our progress.
But I have problems creating such a chain at the upper and the lower end. On the top I can only make a "comprehensive" feature/epic and link other features/epics to that but then the progress is not transfered. On the bottom I can make subtasks to stories but the story-points in the subtasks can not be used for planning, nor do they influence the story-points of the story, nor do they show up in the burndown chart. If I use normal tasks and link them to stories this basically works but everything becomes a bit clumsy.
Does anybody know a suitable way to create such a chain?
