The card created in Trello should be able to fetch details from the JIRA issue to populate the fields in the card.

Hi @Shardool Gore

It's Mary from Planyway for Jira and Trello

Yes, it's possible to create a card in Trello when an issue in JIRA changes state, although it might require some setup or integration tools. There are a few approaches to achieve this automation:

  1. Using Automation for Jira: If you're using Jira Cloud, you can leverage its built-in automation rules to integrate with Trello. Although direct integration might not be available out of the box, you can use webhooks to communicate between Jira and Trello.

  2. Zapier: Zapier is a popular automation tool that allows you to connect Jira and Trello without writing any code. You can set up a "Zap" that triggers whenever an issue in Jira changes state, and then create a card in Trello as an action. Zapier supports various triggers and actions, making it flexible for different workflows.

  3. Integromat (Make.com): Similar to Zapier, Integromat allows you to create automation flows between Jira and Trello. You can design scenarios where a change in Jira issue state will trigger the creation of a Trello card. Integromat offers a visual interface to design these workflows.

  4. Custom Webhooks: Both Jira and Trello support webhooks, which can be used for custom integrations. You can write a small service that listens to webhook events from Jira (e.g., an issue transitioning to a different state) and then uses the Trello API to create a card. This method requires some programming knowledge and setup but offers the most flexibility.

  5. Trello Power-Ups: While Trello's Power-Ups are primarily for extending Trello's functionality, some Power-Ups or third-party services might offer integration capabilities with Jira. It's worth exploring the Trello Power-Up marketplace to see if there's a solution that fits your needs.

  6. Atlassian Marketplace Apps: The Atlassian Marketplace hosts numerous apps that enhance Jira's functionality, some of which may offer direct integration with Trello. These apps can help automate the process of creating Trello cards based on Jira issue changes without manual intervention.
