Is there a way to capture the first comment date?

We are looking for a way to track the time between when an issue is creating and the first comment was added. I see several post on last comment, but nothing yet on first comment. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few options here:

• use app like ScriptRunner to get date of the first comment from current issue and copy the value to any customfield of text type
• you can use the same app to create a scripted custmnfield to display time of the first comment
• If you use Jira Service Desk you can create SLA metric for it
